It’s a myth. Once married, many Chinese women take control of the family finances. Their husbands may be total dicks, but their wives keep them on short leashes. Indonesian women may be the same.

So, I’m guessing the wife and MIL are not bankrolling the founding of the UpChuck media empire, which explains his constant click-baiting and begging for money in his Twitter feed and websites.
