The betting odds have Trump winning the Presidency the same as the Cubs have of winning the World Series. That may seem encouraging. Everyone knows the Cubs are long-time losers. But the Cubs are the MLB’s best team this year. This is the best chance in my lifetime that my team might win a World Series. But its just as likely they won’t, and instead my country will elect an (overt) racist, demagogue, know-knowing. That’s hard to reconcile.
