German TV switched over from analog to digital in 2012 and I am not about to invest in a converter unit or a new digital TV, so since then it serves only as a DVD monitor

When I lived in the broadcast reaches of LA, we got ALL the channels (like 12 or so, back then, counting VHF and UHF), here you can’t get anything without cable. When the stations went digital, we were no longer able to get one channel over the radio.
