Mark Sanford is on The News Hour talking about how great the new healthcare bill is. He brought up how well high risk pools worked in Maine. Except I have a friend in Maine whose husband is self employed and couldn’t get insurance through the high risk pool because they ran out of money. Nice try.

The GOP is massively underfunding their HRP. $8 billion over 5 years, is barely a ripple in the market, which actually would be properly funded at $200 billion or more over that same period. Gaba, Spiro, and others have done the math, and the GOP simply doesn’t care.

They’ll underfund it, claim that they did what they could, and vote to kill people, because that’s the ultimate goal. They just don’t give a fuck. And GOP supporters are cheering them all the way to hell.
