It sucks for me, at 47, having to tell my kids that they’re going to have to be participants in a struggle that we thought was over. My kids and I are white, but I’ve tried to make them aware of things. I’ve explained to them how if minorities and women have to struggle for rights, then they as men will suffer as well.

And your comment cuts right in the middle of both Klys’ and MsJ’s comments.

You’re looking at it from both sides, partly Klys’ worry about the work it will take in the future while you yourself are sad to see so much being battered like MsJ.

I imagine the debate we are having about the two comments is ongoing in your head at all times.
