All those things were true in 2008 too, were they not? I understand the DNC has many things going against it but they also have the majority of this country on its side as long as they give the people something to get behind. Obama won on a hope and change platform. He got the people behind him because he gave them reason to believe that he would change the direction of this country. That didn’t happen, for many reasons, so now you have a huge base of people who feel hopeless that their leaders will actually work in their interest. The DNC could gain a huge amount of people to their base by simply doing one thing, make it their platform that they will no longer accept money from large donors. Get rid of all the SuperPacs and start listening to people of this country. Until then they will continue to appear to do the bidding of their donors. Like I said before that will work for the GOP but the DNC base will not put up with even the hint of corruption of their representatives.
