I’m 58. I was lucky enough to attend really good public schools in Columbus Ohio. I learned about the Cold War and why Russia was not a friend to the US. It completely freaks me out that people older than me are just totally fine and casual about Russia interfering in our elections. I’m no genius, wasn’t fortunate enough to afford college, and even I can figure out what the fuck is seriously wrong with this.

Modern Russia is not the same as the Soviet Union: not a mortal ideological enemy, but it is still no sort of friend of the USA.

But the RW rationalization is that Hillary was such crooked evil threat to America that it justified any role that Russia played in keeping her out of office.
