At some point, as people are near their end, we’re just going to accept that we’re going to do things that otherwise we shouldn’t.

The CFR is above 1% in most places, rising in most places, and well above 1% in many places.

Unless, as some like to speculate, there have been vastly more infections than have been tested, we’re going to lose a lot of people.

This is the first global pandemic of this type since 1918-1919. None of us have been in a situation where a lot of people around us are dying. Other than those in war torn areas, where there are large casualties, few of us have had to live in a society where death is so present.
