It’s not just big police departments. It’s not just a few bad apples. Every state has problem departments that run roughshod over civil rights of the people they swore to protect.

This begs for state or federal oversight and federal monitors at a minimum. It should require a complete house cleaning and new training.

But watch the cops fight this tooth and nail. They’ll attack the whistleblowers and refuse to improve policing.

Google “LAPD RAMPART DIVISION SCANDAL” and see how a gang of racist cops framed hundreds of innocent people of color by planting drugs on them.
