The problem is they’ll say its all bullshit, but then still do whatever they feel is necessary after the election results are in and if they do ultimately pull these kind of shenanigans to put Trump in for a second term, they’ll have some excuse at the ready as to why it seemed “unthinkable” back in September but “necessary” in November.

And the other thing about this scenario is that the states most likely to fit this profile - i.e., a State government, State courts and a State Legislature willing to countermand the will of voters based on nothing more than Donald Trump’s unsubstantiated claims - are likely to be “red” states voting for Trump/Rs anyway.

Not that the Asshole Administration wouldn’t TRY….
