This is why I foresee a Yugoslavia situation having a very high probability of happening. About 5 nations where we once were. Hopefully Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota can get absorbed into Canada. Perhaps even Chicago though the out state of Illinois won’t want to go.

During the War of 1812, New England seriously considered secession. The war was a disaster for many places, including Boston and my town of Salem, which was once the richest in Massachusetts.

You can’t convince me that balkanization would be bad right now. You can’t.
