Romney’s at a point in this life where he can’t help but brag - it’s part of the male ego, and since his claim to notoriety of manhood is his wealth (versus, say, hand to hand battle in combat, or being a great inventor or writer, etc.) when he discusses his own actualization as a man it will be his wealth that often surfaces.
