The teaparty solution is to make poor people pay more. Abolish the IRS and replace it with a 30% sales tax. WHAT COULD GO WRONG????

This solution is known in the GOP as “broadening the tax base,” as in making it more apparent that the tax code is a pyramid scheme with the rich at the very top. Or “skin in the game,” which is another way of saying they want to go back to the days where the only people with a say in government were the rich.
