Nope. Flunked out of *two* universities trying to get even a BA. First one because I spent the majority of my final quarter there at the dog track trying to get rich quick, second one because my hand issues were getting bad enough I could no longer write my essay tests in time, or my notes at all, without debilitating pain from holding the pen 5 minutes in.

Well, that, and academic-dishonesty issues were so strict around the turn of the millennium that you basically had to make sure even your independent turns of phrase had never before been turned, or else find the researcher (especially a historian) who originally said what you’d just thought of (even had you never read that passage before) and endnote it to their credit.
