Up to this point, Trump has been violating laws with impunity. Emoluments, nepotism, evading Senate advise and consent and so on and so on.

As long as enough Republicans cover him, he will continue to simply ignore laws and violate them. There is no bottom, and McConnell will cover for Trump in any situation where Trump uses force to remain in office.

I don’t see how this get resolved peacefully at this point if my suspicions are correct and Trump goes full dictator to save his skin from prison.
