Mehmet Oz is actually a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon. Like Ben Carson, once upon a time he knew how to practice medicine, but now he has given that up and pursues internet quackery and putting his MD behind the sort of old wives’ tales and sensationalist garbage that sells on daytime television. He has exactly as much credibility as the regular FOX MD, Keith Ablow, that they truck out for the rubes.
