Out of curiosity, I went ahead and played the U2 album that appeared on my iPhone, through the stereo.

My wife’s comment? “I can see why they had to give it for free.”

Not even a vacuum tube preamp, an Aragon power amp, and Magneplanar speakers could render it anything but generic.

Agree completely. Didn’t even finish it, it was so boring.

And this is from someone who played the living hell out of War and The Joshua Tree.
