When a jihadi blows up a night club or shoots a bunch of folks, wingnuts are quick to scream that the entire ideology that such men follow is rotten to the core, that any who follow it are suspect, and if you don’t condemn it in full then you condone it totally.

But as soon as a white terrorist shoots up a bunch of folks, immediately his actions are not a result of ideology but mental illness, that the ideology that guided him is not at fault, and any who suggest that the people who follow that ideology are suspect are the ones in the wrong.
