This was kind of what I feared might happen. Initially, it seemed as if maybe Trump would be at least somewhat awed by his responsibilities and start taking this shit seriously.

But as time has gone one, he has - inevitably - concluded he’s actually doing a FANTASTIC! job at it, and that if he ever had any concerns, they were silly.

And there’s the problem. It’s not that he doesn’t take the job seriously. It’s that he thinks this is what doing the job well looks like.
