Sure. The Germans and Japanese recovered too. It just took decades and the lives of tens of millions of people. Even the Russians recovered from 1918 but it took 70 years and then they slipped back into an authoritarian oligarchy.

But let’s just pretend this will all just go away as soon as trump is gone. No doubt things will work out differently for us than it did for the Germans, the Japanese, and the Russians.
