What is the alternative? We are months away from the most optimistic projections for a vaccine. The country can’t simply shut down for another 6 months or a year. We need a plan and we need action. Apparently Trump isn’t interested and the GOP hasn’t gotten to the point where they will break with him.

I’m not particularly sure why people actually think this is a thing. Yes we absolutely can shut down for another 6 months. We can’t stay shut down for *years* or *forever*, but we can absolutely do it for another 6 months.

We can give everyone on UI the extra 600/week for that whole time too.

A. There’s a whole lot of *bullshit* military spending and corp graft that we can cut into. B. There’s like over 55 trillion in hidden money in offshore accounts, much of it connected to a money laundering ring that’s already under investigation and Fuckface von Clownstick is neck deep in and more will be revealed once he’s on trial. C. Even if that never happens we can basically blackmail these rich assholes about the whole economy collapsing if they don’t play ball. D. We can borrow/print our way out of it and then cancel the debt. That won’t cause demand-pull inflation because there’s not going to be a spike in demand or massive economic growth following it. It will just keep the demand side from crashing.

Or we can do all/combinations of the above.
