I do have a serious disagreement with one part of Kamala’s speech: Her very misleading discussion of Ebola. Ebola is not airborne; apparently it isn’t spread until the patient is symptomatic; you develop symptoms within a couple weeks at the most and it’s highly lethal within a fairly short period of time after you become symptomatic. Controlling the spread of a disease like that in a first world country is not that complicated, especially when the epidemic starts elsewhere so you are aware of its presence. Ebola was not a new disease where up to 80% of cases are very mild and only 5%-10% require any medical intervention.

That’s all true, but at the time Trump and the Republicans made a big fucking deal out of it, pretending Obama had bungled the response and should therefore resign. Eventually not even the mainstream media would air these Republican lies, so they got quietly memory holed.

IMO that disgraceful circus makes it absolutely legit to make D talking points out of a D job well done vs. ebola and worse than fucking useless R response vs. covid19.
