I stepped into the $1400 vs $2000 relief argument on Twitter and it’s been a shit storm in my mentions all morning. I even conceded to one asshole who came back with a ‘WHAT ABOUT?’ and then after I removed everyone else from the thread and told him I didn’t give a shit, blocked me and locked his account.

For argument’s sake, there’s numerous red state and local governments who purposefully make it damn near impossible to get or continue to receive UI payments because their ideology says that people who look for help don’t need it and those who need it don’t go looking for it because “pride.”
