Isolationism is often part of American populism. We shouldn’t be surprised this is happening. Perhaps the neo-cons in the GOP want to pretend it isn’t happening, but the Paleocons are getting close to truly taking the helm in the GOP.

Speaking of pretending something isn’t happening, there are still those in the UK media who are trying to breathe life into “climategate”. I mentioned before that I think there are those how are in the UK media who like the story simply because it makes the UK the focus of attention, especially in scientific and academic circles.

Well, DeMint and McCain both went after Steele today. In McCain’s case that was inevitable, he’s simply not an isolationist. DeMint might herald some pushback, though.
