That forms part of my objection. Also, Israel finally got the CLDS to stop baptizing dead Jews who never knew or had even heard of Mormonism, by voicing their objections. If they’d felt it was none of their business they never would have accomplished that. In at least one sense I think this case is worse, because the dead father in law had ample opportunity to embrace mormonism in life, where he actively and resolutely rejected it. It’s an undoing of the man, a Wite-Out and rewrite of who he was.
