Does anyone here understand Salon? I mean really grok it? Glenn Greenwald has always been sort of hard to nail down and I was just looking into Gary Kamiya (the founder). Are they Paulians? Buchanan type conservatives? Some sort of lefty? kind of of but not really. What are they?

Salon? My impression has always been that they’re mainstream, maybe slightly liberal, but not terribly politically sophisticated. Navel-gazing types. But I don’t make a regular habit of reading them, just recommended articles here and there. I may be missing something.
