Yup. They intentionally screw up every demonstration they join. In at least one case, Genoa, they were proven in court to include a violent carabinieri provocateur. When they showed up at the DC anti-Iraq war protest (ANSWER), wife and I bagged it.

Does that mean the provocateur was part of the Carabinieri? (The name means ‘Those carrying a carbine’, btw and refers to an an Italian government agency with both civil law enforcement and military roles.)
