re: #117 Charles Johnson

That’s just maddening. I’ve read excerpts from Clinton’s book in which she VERY CLEARLY accepts most of the blame herself for losing the election. Yes, she says there were other factors that played into it as well, and guess what? There WERE.

Before this election, to be honest I wasn’t a huge fan of Hillary Clinton, but the way she’s been treated by the media throughout the campaign and continuing to this day is absolutely disgusting.

How she’s handled all of this makes me like her more, honestly.

After the convention, when I listened to Chelsea talk about her mom, I told my mom that I thought she was a lot like Hillary. Mom was a little taken aback until I explained why, because Mom too has some of the kneejerk reactions (I know all about the “feelings” people have) but maybe it’s because of seeing that comparison that I warmed more to Hillary? Being a woman in a male-dominated field is grueling and yet Hillary’s never lost her compassion or her humanity despite it, and that’s the part that reminded me of my mom.

I think my mom liked her better after that too.
