Still better than nothing: although, in today’s political environment, “nothing” is a form of improvement itself: since most firearms legislation these days seems to be focused exclusively on expanding access to guns, and on removing even the thinnest of controls on their sales, possession or carrying.

IIRC, the last AWB passed Constitutional muster: it may not have been ideal, but at least it was a start.
