Trump is trying to realign the entire world order as America, Russia, and maybe China against the rest of the world. That’s something that needs to be talked more about.

He definitely wants to cut out the UK, the EU, Canada and (of course) Mexico. Meanwhile, he seems OK with Abe in Japan.

The conspiracy theorist in me looks at Russian meddling in the UK (Brexit), Spain (Catalunya) and Italy (populism) as part of Putin’s plan to weaken European nations to the point that he can have his way in the eastern nations without any resistance from NATO. Trump seems agreeable to such plans, AFAICT.

A capable and less self-centered American administration would view all these developments with alarm, and spring into action to counter them. Instead, we have rank amateurs who see ahead only as far as their greed allows them.
