You know their company Mission Statement —there is always an Objective

i.e. - to maximize shareholder value
-to produce low cost widgets for the teen market
-whatever bullshit produces a warm feeling for the employees and prospective investors.

My husband actually worked for a family owned company whose mission statement said the objective was to increase shareholder value for the stockholders (the family members). At least they were honest, but miserly.
