I’m really not a fan of the ACLU’s position “money is speech.” We have them to thank for the Citizen’s United case, and now they are trying to prevent our state from exposing dark money expenditures on advertising as well.

Definitely not a fan of Citizen’s United. Though why are they opposing open information about who is supplying the money to the campaigns?

I guess some principled stand regarding privacy of donations? (Though since elections are public, I don’t necessarily see how that would apply. And it’s different than the right to a secret ballot in the actual election.)
