Since they use a 1200 km smoothing model, the idea that temperatures go up as you go north in the Artic 1200 km is made up. It like saying the temperature Kansas Ciy, KS is the same as Grand Forks ND. Can it be sometimes yes is it always no and it should not be modeled that way.

They don’t need to make it up or estimate when the DMI is available. And it has been below normal for almost the entire melt season. So Mr. Hansen is just making it up.
