The negativity comes from years of living amongst wingnuts, for me. Knowing how they think and how they act has colored my outlook. I sincerely believe that Trump will not be impeached unless a literal act of God occurs - unless the Lord Himself reaches down, bitch-slaps Paul Ryan across the back of the head, and tells him to file the damn impeachment papers already.

Impeachment requires a simple majority, so it may not be as far out of reach as you think.
