I think being able to buy your offspring citizenship is a scam. What makes these people more worthy of citizenship than the child of an immigrant from the third world?

Yes, it is a scam, if you want to look at it like that. It is also quite a high compliment. I have never given birth but I would think that a young pregnant woman traveling to another country, leaving her home and family at a really sensitive and emotional time, would have to be REALLY motivated by a desire to give her child the opportunity to choose American citizenship. It’s a BFD.

Both groups, whether wealthy from China or Russia or poor from Mexico are doing the same thing., i.e. taking advantage of our birthright laws. Ultimately, only the Russian children may be ultimately welcome as adults if they learn to speak perfect English and thoroughly assimilate. We have well demonstrated the xenophobia of our country the past few years, have we not?

The “buying citizenship” is BS. All of those children born here are citizens. What makes the wealthy ones okay to the Trumps and others at the time of their births is the profit they make from their mothers’ stays while they are here giving them their money. They don’t give a shit otherwise about the poor or the wealthy. They only care about the money right now.
