It looks to me like the Native Americans were just getting between the two groups lobbing taunts at each other to bring some “peace” in their own way.

The Catholic boys then decided to make fun of them and it went from there.

I think like a lot of kids, they got high on themselves and then that brought about typical mob stupidity.

Of course their backgrounds and schooling came out and there is certainly bigotry in the group. But did they intend to be purposely racist???
