2020 is playing like a GRRM book.

Covid19 is playing the role of the white walkers, and Trump’s playing the role of Cersei Lannister, who knew but thought it’d wipe out his enemies leaving him unscathed. Yet, if and when he loses, he’ll go all Sept of Baelor on everyone. Because he always puts himself first. He will burn it all down to protect himself.

And the GOP are more than happy to ride along. You’ve got Pence and Ivanka and Jared and all the rest as playing everyone from Tywin to the Freys to Euron Greyjoy.

*and yeah, I know that Trump’s cast as Cersei in this version, but it works if you consider how they treat Ivanka as Jaime (the so-called honorable one).

Um, no one is playing the role of Tywin, Tywin was the one person who could actually keep Cersei more or less on leash and force her to do sane reasonable things.
