Honestly, to me the biggest issue is that what they found out was a consensual blow job. Millions spent on a BJ. Tripp or no Tripp, *this* was the big “get” that Republicans found.

And you have people like Gingrich, who was getting his own hummers from his not-at-the-time-but-future wife (which I forget…was that wife #2 or wife #3?) while he was going all Holier Than Thou on Clinton.

That was the travesty of BJgate. And, as always, Republicans got away with it.

It was Wife #3, who Newt was banging while Wife #2 was in the hospital battling cancer.

And I bring up Tripp because without her, there would have been no “Lewinskygate” and Starr would have struck out. Or, at the very least, the odds of the affair would have taken longer to come to light and might very well have stayed secret past the end of Bill’s second term.
