Yeah I remember. I was a senior in high school. I just thought it tried too hard rather than letting it flow out organically. I’m speaking as a music fan not a political junkie here. I think they had great intentions and I applaud them for that but I think they tried too hard IMO.

As someone who is a big fan of Queensryche’s Operation Mindcrime, Americn Idiot felt like it was also a rock opera.
