Speculating irresponsibly on the plumber who found scads of money stashed in a wall in Joel Olsteen’s church:

Several people have commented that some person might have been skimming when counting the collection plate, and wondering why there were so many cheques, when a cheque (especially one with an expired date) would be tough to cash.

Joel Olsteen reported some time ago there was a robbery from the church office safe in March of 2014, about $200,000 in cash, and $400,000 in cheques. The cash was never recovered.

So what if the robber was actually Joel Olsteen? I imagine there aren’t many people who have the combination to that safe, and it was not reported as forced open. Then the money was stashed behind the wall, and just found by a random plumber working in the church.
