I’m not worried about paying $8 a gallon. Hell, I’d welcome it as it would encourage people to buy more economical cars and get those fuckin’ gigantic SUVs off the road. And maybe, just maybe, we’d get some infrastructure funding to put quality rail transit in all of the major population corridors around the country (Except the flyover states…someone has to suffer).

Some people need big cars. I hate the notion that every car should be the size of a 1970s VW Rabbit.

As for infrastructure, who’s going to pay for that?
