What’s really interesting is watching middle-school kids debate the merits of the society from The Giver. Now that is a bizarre mess of issues for kids to tackle.

No. Just no.

No color, no real sense of what it means to alive… just completely sterilized society.

Not only that, but it doesn’t even make sense how they manage to have fifty kids in each year when they only have three women who give birth every year. At least not unless they’ve got them pumped full of some major fertility drugs….
