I’m not relativizing. I’m saying I can better understand murder than slavery. I simply can’t picture actually enslaving another human being. If I grew up in that society, maybe, but it’s just so abhorrently foreign.

But why did you bring that up? It’s not like anybody disputed it or that was an issue. You explicitly compared it to the murders too. You also wrote about “killing those in the society that enslaved him”, while actually his main fault is murdering those who had nothing to do with it, i.e. children.
