re: #92 Lidane

And a bunch of those dipshits are convinced that their problem was either:

1. White people not showing up to vote
2. Not enough emphasis on anti-abortion or anti-gay positions
3. Dumb minority voters swayed by an “Obama phone” bribe
4. Skewed polls

And so on. They simply refuse to accept that people looked at what they were selling and decided not to buy into it, or that the electorate is shifting away from them demographically.

Actually, first run of the exit polls indicate there is validity to point one: white people not showing up. More accurately, poor (incomes under 50K) white people.

There are two possibilities, each bringing their own forms of schadenfreude.

First there is the possibility that a lot of them got caught in the whole Voter ID mess. Yeah, ponder how it works by hitting lower income the hardest.

Second there is the possibility that they were “pox on both houses” voters. Solid Republican voters who were so peeved with their candidate they stayed home instead of voting for the other guy (be it race or party they resisted).

Regardless they turned out in lower numbers than they did in 2008.
