What “gains”? What do we “gain” from embracing creationism that outweighs the damage it does to our scientific and economic standing in the world?

It’s just so wrong in so many ways. It’s like saying people were on the right track in 15th century Spain because there were no regulations. They might have been creationists but they could enslave as many natives as they wanted!
