I think that’s one of Josh Marshall’s points. That and the rapid response of Trump can only be explained by a massive need to hide corruption.

I got his point, I was speaking more to the “serious” pundits and conservatives (but I repeat myself) who have taken in recent months to suggesting that this is a “new” Whitewater investigation, a purely partisan affair intended simply to call into question Trump’s presidency rather than a serious effort to get to the bottom of criminal acts.
