I’m still a bit confused on the implications of the deal with Pelosi/Schumer - from what I understand, trump agreed to Harvey Relief and a debt-ceiling extension for 3 months. Meanwhile, GOPers were pushing a 6-to-18 month extension and…? I don’t get it. Why is the 3-month window better than the longer one? What else were GOPers trying to get?
