Evangelicals will accept anyone who kisses their ass and walks their line on abortion and judges. You can be Jimmy Carter and seventy years married with the same lady but not kiss their ass and they’ll hate him. You can be Trump, a man who probably can’t even spell morality let alone practice it and they love him.

Because they hope that, by hook or by crook, Trump-as-President finally gives them the power and control to override and dismantle secular American society that they’ve been craving for for decades.
