Now here’s a very scary story. The Feds are using the reasoning that, since a local coffee shop that was robbed used coffee beans imported from out state, then a Federal crime was committed since the coffee beans were transported across state lines.

This is one hell of a slippery slope. Probably more than 98% of Alaska goods are brought in from out state. Therefore, just about any theft crime could be upgraded into Federal charges.
