Ya know, the idea of testing autonomous vehicles in real traffic with test drivers ready to take over at any moment SOUNDS good, till you realize that there are so many drivers out there who are already distracted even when they’re the ones driving.

The whole point of self driving cars is so that we can be distracted while in the car.

Also, I am not a fan of self driving cars, but I think that’s because I’m part of that dying breed that actually enjoys driving. Nothing better than a six speed V-8, a full tank of gas, and a road with just enough curves to keep your attention.
